Freshman Brittany Hensler has started five games for the Rockets this season and has scored one goal on three shots.

The Rockets soccer team's program-high eight-game winning streak ended Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Kent State University.

Before Sunday's loss, UT defeated the University at Buffalo 2-1.

The Rockets are 10-3-1 overall this season and 5-1 in the MAC after the split weekend.

"Obviously we would have liked at least one more point from the weeknd, but we'll take splitting on that trip," said Head Coach Brad Evans. "Both teams have been traditionally very good at home, and I think we did well to get three points on Friday."

UT heads out on the road again this weekend for Mid-American Conference games against Miami University (Ohio) and Ball State University before returning home to close out the regular season.

"This weekend will be a great challenge for our team, and we are looking forward to it," Evans said. "Both teams create good atmospheres to play in, and I think that anytime, home or away, that there is a good atmosphere, it just makes the matches more enjoyable."

Heading into this weekend, the RedHawks are in the middle of the MAC standings with a 3-2-1 conference record, while the Rockets are in second place. Miami is also coming off two shutout victories on its home field.

Sara Lund leads the team with 17 points and ranks second in the MAC with seven goals. RedHawks goalkeeper Krista Pace also has a second-place ranking in the conference, as she made 81 saves this season.

"The RedHawks have arguably fielded the best attacking players in the conference in my seven years at Toledo, and it looks like this year is no different," Evans said.

Sunday's match features the MAC's top two teams; first-place Cardinals (5-0-1 MAC) and the Rockets.

BSU has six conference shutouts including a 0-0 double overtime tie with Northern Illinois University and a 2-0 victory over Western Michigan University.

"For Ball State, any time you keep the opponents scoreless for that many games, it shows you have a team committed to working hard and defending with energy," Evans said. "Obviously, this will be a hard game, but we look forward to playing such a good team on the road."

UT will hope to maintain its high conference ranking, as only three conference games remain after this weekend.

The top four teams in the conference will host teams five through eight at campus sites. The highest-remaining team will host the semifinal and championship games on Nov. 9 and 11.

"As always, the competition to get into the top eight will be highly contested, and the difference between No. 1 and No. 8 will be razor thin," Evans said. "There are no easy games in this league."
