Cross steps down

University of Toledo Athletic Director Mike O'Brien announced that Gene Cross has stepped down as men's basketball coach.

"We would like to thank Gene for his efforts on behalf of the men's basketball program and wish him well in his future endeavors," O'Brien said.

Cross had an 11-53 record in his two seasons as coach. This year, the Rockets struggled with a 4-28 record including a 1-15 mark in the Mid-American Conference.
