More than 1,000 students, parents, educators and local dignitaries filled the Student Union Building Auditorium last Saturday for the annual Conference for Minority Youth. The primary goal of the conference was to help lessen the low rates of minorities on campus.

Tuesday night, members of Student Senate heard a reading of a proposed amendment to the Student Government Constitution that would change the requirements for candidates in presidential elections. During spring break, up to 100 students will be traveling across the country and into Mexico, but they won't be going sight-seeing or to the beach. The students are volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, a service organization that is assisting less-fortunate people in building homes, churches and orphanages.
