A UT student investment group made almost a 14.8 percent return on a $1 million investment over the course of the past year. The group, which does not have an official name, beat the Standard and Poor's 500 by two percent, according to Gary Moore, a UT professor of finance and the group's adviser.

Some students want to puff, puff - but others are opting to pass on the UT Chapter of Students for a Sensible Drug Policy. Although the group won't be an official organization at UT until mid-summer, about a dozen students met on Monday to discuss UT's marijuana policy.
