One person is dead and another hospitalized after what appears to have been a stabbing at Horton International House Wednesday night, according to Larry Burns, University of Toledo vice president of external affairs.
Police have not yet released any information about the victims.
Burns said both victims were discovered inside I-House by police after a 911 call at 9:02 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found one victim who was transported to a local hospital. Shortly afterward, at 9:23 p.m., they discovered a second victim, who has died.
UTPD and Toledo police have secured the scene.
Although most students are gone for winter vacation, Burns said six students, four staff and four student workers have been staying in I-House over the break.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and we will provide additional information as it becomes available," Burns said.
Police said they have no information about a suspect or motive.
