A trio of Toledo volleyball players received postseason Mid-American Conference honors this past Friday. Freshman outside hitter Sondra Parys earned All-Freshman team honors, while sophomores Kassie Kadera and Amber DeWeerdt were second-team All-MAC selections.
Kadera finished second in the conference with 10.91 assists per set, while DeWeerdt was second on the team with 3.36 digs per set and ninth in the MAC with 3.30 kills per set.
Parys led all MAC freshmen with 3.32 kills per set, which ranked eighth in the conference and first on the team.
The Rockets posted their best season since the conference went to a divisional format back in 1997, finishing second in the MAC West Division with a 17-12 overall record.
