October 24, 2017

The University of Toledo women’s golf team finished in 8th place in the University of Louisville’s Cardinal Cup this past weekend.

Hannah Kochendoerfer, third-year golfer, finished with a 4-over-par 76 on Sunday. Her round was UT’s best round of the day and bumped them up 12 places for a tie for 48th place at 18-over-par 234.

Individually, third-year golfers, Pimchanok Kawil and Pinyada Kuvanun tied at 19th place at 19-over-par 225.

Saranlak Tumfong, second-year golfer, finished at 17-over-par 233 and tied for 42nd place.

Natcha Daengpiem, third-year golfer, played in her first tournament this fall and tied for 68th place at 25-over-par 241.

"I'm happy with our 8th place finish against what is a very tough field. But I thought we could have played better today," head coach Nicole Hollingsworth said in a UTRockets interview. "The conditions were really difficult which resulted in higher scores from everybody. I just wish we could have been a little more consistent with our play."

The midnight blue and gold will complete their season in Hawaii University’s Rainbow Wahine Invitational Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
